Paris Beauvais Airport
The two main airports of Charles de Gaulle and Orly are not the only way to reach Paris. Beauvais airport, situated approximately 50 miles north of Paris is a small regional airport and is unofficially known as the third airport serving Paris. Beauvais airport services mainly low cost Budget airlines such as Ryan Air, WizzAir, Norwegian Air, Blue Air and Sterling Air and handled nearly 3 million passengers in 2010. It does also handle scheduled flights with up to 20 flights a day and although the schedule is busy there are no night flights due to a ban to protect local residents. Beauvais airport is 2 miles from the town of Beauvais in the Oise department and the airport can be reached from the town itself by train, shuttle bus or taxi. The airport services routes throughout Europe including Ireland, Italy and Portugal and has two Terminal s. It also has restaurant facilities both air side and pre departure.
