Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale is a city located on the coast of Florida.  It has an expansive canal system and for this reason is often referred to as “the Venice of America”.  A popular place with American tourists, the city also sees thousands of tourists visit from international locations, especially during the summer months of the year.  There is a lot to do in the city and with great weather almost all year round; this is an ideal location for a holiday.

The most popular part of Fort Lauderdale is most commonly known as ‘The Strip’.  Very cosmopolitan, the area is very gay friendly and also a popular location with European tourists.  Other things to see and do in the city include either taking part in sports like scuba diving, kayaking and golf or watching sports like the Florida Panthers or the Florida Marlins.  The area is also known for being a shoppers paradise and there is a great range of boutique shops just waiting to be explored.
