Guernsey Airport

The only airport to service the island of Guernsey is located just less than five kilometres from the St. Peter Port. Guernsey Airport opened to commercial air traffic in 1946, with the current asphalt tarmac being built in 1960 to accommodate the larger aircrafts that were beginning to frequent the island airport. The present terminal used at Guernsey Airport opened in 2004 and features modern amenities to serve even the most seasoned of travellers.

The airport terminal has many features that are designed to accommodate travellers with special needs and those with reduced mobility. The car park at Guernsey Airport has designated parking bays for vehicles displaying the appropriate parking decal. Additionally, if the passenger needs to be dropped off at the terminal entrance, this is allowed for persons with reduced mobility. However, parking in front of the terminal and curb side is prohibited. The entrance gates to the car park have call buttons to notify the airport staff of potential assistance needed. Inside the terminal, there are accessible toilets, lifts and ramps, and wheelchairs to lend if necessary. The airport services offered for persons with reduced mobility include check-in, baggage, security, and boarding. Please let the airport and your airline know ahead of time that you will need assistance to ensure a smooth transition at Guernsey Airport.
