Real Madrid continues to be one of the top competitive football teams throughout Europe. The city hosted the world cup in 1982. Additionally, the city has two five-star stadiums and is one of only four cities in Europe that can claim this fact.

Along with great cultural and sporting venues, Madrid offers visitors unique architecture, many cathedrals and churches, as well as one of the largest shopping destinations in the whole of Europe.
