Porto Airport (OPO) is located in the northern part of Portugal, 11 kilometres northwest of the city of Porto. The airport is officially called the Francisco Se Carneiro Airport, and is the second busiest of the county, after Lisbon Airport. The airport gets it‘s official name from the Portuguese Prime Minister who perished in a plane crash headed to the same airport, as it was previously titled Aeroporto de Pedras Rubras.
