Overview

Our rendezvous will be at the church of San Gregorio Armeno, whose grandeur will certainly take your breath away - from its ceiling, through its pulpits and chapels. We will then proceed to Piazzetta Nilo, with a huge sculpture of the Nile God, before reaching Gesù Vecchio Church - the first Jesuit mother church which used Baroque extravagance to captivate worshippers and observers alike. Subsequently, due to the ever-growing power and influence of Jesuits in Naples, Gesù Nuovo was chosen as their new spiritual headquarters; situated in its eponymous square it is housed within a former civil building called Palazzo San Severino. Lastly we shall visit Santa Chira Cloister that exudes a mystical serenity along with some remarkable maiolicas of the city.
