Overview

    The area where the Dolmabahçe Palace now stands used to be a small bay of the Bosphorus. From the 18th century onwards, the bay was gradually filled to become an imperial garden by the Bosphorus. People referred to it as Dolmabahçe, literally meaning filled (dolma) garden (bahçe).

    - Opening hours: Tuesday-Sunday: 9:00am-4:00pm, Tue-Sun

    - Please remember to bring the original passport to the ticket gate, use the e-voucher (We will send you a separate email with the voucher) to exchange for a physical ticket.

    - Photography is allowed, but taking videos and photos for commercial purposes, as well as the live broadcasting of the tour is strictly prohibited

    - The host will lead you to the entrance to collect the audio guide. Museum officials may ask for an ID deposit, to be returned upon your return of the audio guide at the exit

    - The audio guide is available in the following languages: English, German, Turkish, French, Italian, Arabic, Spanish, Russian, Polish, and Chinese
