Skip the line at the Prado Museum in Madrid, and see some of the most influential pieces of European artwork like ''Las Meninas'' by Velázquez, ''The Garden of Earthly Delights'' by Bosch or ''The Three Graces'' by Rubens.
The Museo del Prado opened to the public on 19 November 1819 as a Royal Museum of Painting and Sculpture. In 2019, its Bicentenary is being celebrated as a commemoration that will reveal the path covered since 1819 until today.
In total, there are more than 7000 painting and almost 1000 statues. However, this museum stands out for containing the largest holdings of Bosch, Titian, El Greco, Rubens, Velázquez and Goya, some numbering more than 100 works.
