A great full day excursion to the ancient archaeological site of Pompeii and picturesque Naples, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Travel in a private group of no more than 6 people with a tour assistant in an air-conditioned minivan. The tour departs from Rome, with a stop along the highway for breakfast or a mid-morning snack. The first stop will be at the archaeological site of Pompeii, where you will be guided by our official guide through the highlights of this intact ancient Roman city. You will visit the main areas of Pompeii, such as the Macellum (food market), the Baths, the areas where the Romans gathered to dine and drink wine, as well as the homes of wealthy citizens, where you will learn about their customs and traditions. Stop for lunch-tasting of local products and then visit Naples and the wonderful Gulf where you can admire one of the most evocative landscapes in the world and taste a good typical Neapolitan coffee.
