During this tour we will meet in Castello District, in Campo della Fava and I will lead you through the amazing history of the Serenissima Republic and, along the way I will focus your attention on some architectural details that tell us the stories of Venetian families that inhabited this unique city in the past.
We will discover everything about the many wells in Venice and about the ancient water system; I will unveil the secrets and hidden meanings behind the symbol of the city. If are curious about the "high water", I will show how it affects Venice and how we deal with it!
I'll take you back in time telling you everything about the Venetian Carnival and its connection with the masks and the Plague Epidemics and we'll continue our walk through Rialto Market, where I'll give you some hints, from a local point of view, to get the most out of your stay here!
Our tour will end in one of the most authentic neighborhoods of Venice: its "red light district"!
