A Dog-Lovers' Cambridge Walking Tour

Duration

clock1 hour 30 minutes

Overview

This is a unique small-group tour of Cambridge for dog lovers with or without their dogs. The tour featured in both "The Cambridge News" and "The Cambridge Independent"!
This dog-friendly tour, while not only taking you to the must-see sites in Cambridge, will include several of the quirkier ones and will feature a number of intriguing dog-related stories. A springer spaniel, dubbed by its owner as the “dumbest dog ever”, has a close connection with one of the most unusual pieces of art in Cambridge and a famous Italian painter, who seems to have painted more dogs than any of his contemporaries, is linked to a particularly well-admired structure in the city. Oh, and one of Cambridge's most famous buildings might never have been built if it hadn't been for discussion about dogs. And, of course, you will hear about the origin of the university and famous people and places connected with the city.
