What to Expect

    Venture out and set out with us to discover millions of years old fossils on a unique route through hills and hills in Serra do Alhastro! A forgotten place where you can find arts and crafts almost lost in time, where rocks, plants and animals all have a story to tell…. Mountain range composed essentially of limestone where it is possible to observe different fossil records from the Devonian period (ammonites) and which disappeared in the K-T extinction, at the end of the Cretaceous, which also killed the dinosaurs. Here we can also find several records of the people and customs, such as ruins of windmills and ancient sites of limestone exploration.
