King's Gate is a historical building, which used to be an element of the old city’s defensive system in the XIX century. These days, the Gate serves for the Grand Embassy Historical and Cultural Centre.
It's a museum dedicated to the emergence and development of the fortified city, prominent people's visits, the Great Embassy of Peter I of Königsberg, the origins of Russian diplomacy, embassies and consulates, the long-standing city's ties with Russia.
