Viking World is the home of the Viking Ship the Icelander that was built in 1996. The Icelander is an exact replica of the famous Gokstad ship, a remarkable archaeological find of an almost completely intact Viking ship, excavated in Norway in 1882. With multiple exhibitions, the museum celebrates Iceland's central role in the discovery of North America a 1000 years ago by the Norse Vikings. can be easily spotted from the main road between the international airport and Reykjavík. Opt to include a pick up from Keflavik in your ticket if you wish.
