Overview

Itria Valley is a magical place, with ancient olive trees, and villages full of colours. Alberobello is famous for its trulli, listed as a UNESCO site in 1996. Trulli are quaint buildings with conical, un-mortered stone roofs. Visit the trulli museum in the only 2 story trullo, to learn how people traditionally lived in these dwellings. Alberobello also boasts the only trullo church in the world, if you are lucky you may hear the organist practicing .Locorotondo is a little charming village, built in a circle on top of a hill. It has an interesting old town centre with views of the valley at every twist and turn. Polignano a Mare is a gem of crystal clear waters and cliffs pitted with caves. It is an amazing medieval town right on the Adriatic cliffs with balconies perfect for viewing the drop to the sea below. We visit the statue of Domenico Mondugno who was born here. He wrote and sang the famous song ' Volare', his arms are flung wide with his back to the sea..
