Anne Frank House Museum Ticket

Duration

clock1 to 2 hours

Overview

This is one of the strongest stories of the 20th century: a young Jewish woman forced to hide with her family and friends to escape deportation by the Nazis. Otto Frank's house hid the refuge that kept his family safe until near the end of World War II.

The museum's focus of attention is the hideout, also known as the Secret Annex. It was in this suffocating and dark space that the Franks remained in complete silence until they were mysteriously betrayed and sent to their deaths.

The Anne Frank House is virtually intact. When walking through the building, it is easy to imagine the experience of Anne growing up and writing her famous diary, describing all the restrictions that were being imposed on Dutch Jews.
