Vesuvius' eruption in A.D. 79 and these discoveries are now showcased in the museum as frescoes, mosaics and bronze, glass and silver pieces from the 1st century A.D., with special attention given to an area called “Secret Cabinet” that contains erotic art pieces from Pompei and Herculaneum.
