    Experience a full-day excursion to Aswan from Luxor by road in the company of an Egyptologist tour guide. Follow the course of the Nile River, traversing agricultural land and traditional Egyptian villages.     This is a typical itinerary for this product:

    Stop At: Temple of Horus, Adfo, Edfu Egypt

    Your Nile Holiday tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor to visit the temples of Edfu and Kom-Ombo and then Aswan high dam and the Philae Temple. Begin with transfer to Edfu Temple which is renowned as being one of the best preserved cult temples in Egypt that was dedicated to Horus the falcon headed god and believed to be where he avenged his father Osiris' death by killing Seth. The existing temple dates back from Ptolemaic period (332 - 30 B.C.).

    Stop At: Temple of Kom Ombo, Nagoa Ash Shatb, Kom Ombo 81611 Egypt

    Continue on to visit the temple of Kom Ombo which stands on high grounds overlooking the Nile river. It is different compared to other ancient Egyptian temples as it is devoted to two gods; Sobek who was represented by a crocodile and Haroeris “Horus the Elder” symbolised as a falcon. This unique structure was started by Ptolemy VI Philometor (180–145 BC) but mostly developed under later rulers such as Ptolemy XIII (47-44 BC). You may also have chance to view some mummified crocodiles found here at its small museum.

    Enjoy lunch at an eatery in Aswan before moving on towards visiting Aswan High Dam, an embankment built across Nile River between 1960 and 1970 that aimed in regulating its flooding and storing water for agriculture purposes plus generating hydro-electric power.<
