Overview

Travel in cushy, air-conditioned comfort from Bangkok to Ayutthaya's Wat Lokayasutha, home of the giant reclining Buddha image. Make your way to Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, part of the royal palace complex and a major temple in Ayutthaya’s history. Visit Wat Mahathat Ayutthaya where you can see the famous Buddha head entwined within roots of a Bodhi tree. Have lunch at a local Thai restaurant with your guide on hand for advice on local delicacies. Finally, end your tour at Wat Chaiwattanaram, its architecture reminiscent of Angkor Wat in Cambodia as you explore the monumental grounds.
