Bari Tour

Duration

clock4 hours

Overview

The city facing the Adriatic Ocean, at the edge of the valley, which it gives the name.

There are many places of great cultural interest you can visit in Bari, especially in the Old Town.

The urban structure divides the city in two distinctive parts: the old and the new section.

The new section developed from the beginning of the 19th century, the old section host the most important monuments of medieval and renaissance style, that is the Romanesque Cathedral St. Sabino, the Romanesque Basilica St. Nicola, the Normanno Svevo Castle.

The new section is recognised for its long and large street built during the urban boom, it extend itself up to the Levante fair and the industrial area.

The Old Bari, instead, is attractive for its narrow streets where you can perceive the sensations, colours and scents, the craft workshop around there, children, old fishermen, austere palaces.
