Overview

    Enjoy a gorgeous guided hike in Lebanon’s largest biosphere reserve and discover the magnificence of its many cedar, pine and oak trees.

    Enjoy 3.5 hour guided loop hike (8.5 km, level 5) starting at the Maasser el-Shouf entrance, from where we will follow the hiking trail toward the end of the Barouk forest, partly under the shade of cedar trees and providing some great views over the entire Shouf region. We'll hike our way back through another part of the Maasser el-Shouf reserve, from where at the end you have great views on the western part of the Beqaa Valley and its beautiful lake Qaraoun.

    Continue your day discovering two of Lebanon's highlights and visit the old centers of power during its ruling by the Ottomans. Admire the spectacular early 19th-century Lebanese architecture of the Beiteddine Palace and the capital of the Emirs in the 17th and 18th centuries; Deir el-Qamar, where you can enjoy the refined tastes of the Lebanese mezze.
