The Salvation Road is the network of streets that were used during the siege of Sarajevo. These streets were artery for all the citizens of Sarajevo, who lived under these unbelievable circumstances and endeavored to do their daily duties. Work duties in hospitals, bakeries and other institutions required the daily movement of thousands of people within the besieged Sarajevo. Moving around the city was almost impossible because all crossroads and streets were under sniper fire, and the indiscriminate shelling caused people to die every day..
