The term dancehouse (táncház) refers to an informal event, a social gathering with music, dancing and singing folk songs of a specific or multiple regions. The Hungarian dancehouse movement has been listed by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity for its unique model of teaching folk dance and music. What you will see is not a folk performance, it is a living heritage! Be part of this wonderful social event with the assistance of our programme leader trying some of the dances yourself, or just enjoy the atmosphere watching the enthusiastic musicians and the more experienced to dance!
