Overview

Budapest is the capital of Hungary, divided into two parts by the Danube River. The chain bridge, built in the 19th century, connects the hilly area of Buda and the plain Pest. By funicular you can climb the Fortress Hill, where the Old Town of Buda and the Museum of the History of Budapest are located, the collection of which acquaints with the history of the city from the Roman era. On the Holy Trinity Square is located the Matthias Church, built in the 13th century, and the Fisherman's Bastion, from the towers of which there is a magnificent view of the city.
