Lake Bled is of tectonic glacial origin and lies at an altitude of 475 meters above sea level. It’s 2120 m long, 1380 m wide, and has an area of --1.45 km2. The lake’s deepest point is 30 m and its average annual temperature is 12 °C, reaching up to 25 ° C in July. The Carp population has been swimming in Lake Bled for ages, but in recent years the fish have been growing faster than ever. In autumn, the good number of fish can be found in excess of 30 kg. Lake Bled has one of the biggest populations of Carp that weigh over 20 kg.
