On this tour, we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage sites, Atomic Bomb Dome, and Memorial Peace Park. Our first stop is at the Epicenter of where the bomb went off at 600meters above the ground. We will then walk up to the bomb dome and about a 100 meters away cross the T bridge to enter the Peace Park.
As we walk along the park, you will see the Peace flame and the Pond of Peace. Once we reach the front of the Peace Park, there is an arch which covers a stone chest which contains the names of the victims from the atomic bomb. Finally, we will head over to the Memorial Peace Park Museum to see the before and the aftermath of the first Atomic Bomb drop on Hiroshima.
From there we can grab lunch just let me know what your preference is. Then we will travel to Miyajima Island to visit Itsukushima Shrine, Great Torii, and experience what the island has to offer. It is known for its oysters, and they are delicious. Finally, we will head down to Iwakuni to visit the Kintai Kyo Bridge.
