What to Expect

    After being picked up, sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery as you are transported the 60 miles east to the Chena Hot Springs Resort. Keep an eye out for wildlife and you may even spot a fox, beaver or moose along the way. After arriving at the resort, start your day off with a tour of the Aurora Ice Museum, constructed out of over 1,000 tons of ice and snow. Marvel at ice sculptures by world-renowned carvers. If you're feeling adventurous, sample an Appletini in a hand-carved ice glass (not included in price and photo ID required). Soak in the pool of the Hot Springs, explore the many trails around the resort or take a tour of the greenhouse and geothermal energy plant. Lunch at the excellent restaurant is not to be missed where you can enjoy some Alaskan seafood or vegetables grown in the local greenhouse (optional and not included in price).
