Chisinau Private Walking Tour

Duration

clock2 hours

Overview

Chisinau is the beating heart of the Republic of Moldova. Razed to the ground during WWII the city was rebuilt afterwards by the Russians which explains the very Soviet looking buildings and the Stalinist architecture on its main boulevards. In between you can get a glimpse of some pre-WWII edifices, or try some of the hip cafes, bars and restaurants or the famous local wine in any of the dozen wineries around the city, or go for some antique shopping in Arbat. Experience first hand some of the main attractions this city has to offer: the park and the monument of Stephen the Great, a local medieval hero; the open book shaped Parliament Building; the Presidential Palace, the hotspot of the 2009 protests; Milestii Mici Wine store, to check and maybe try some of the world famous local wine; the City Hall with its early 20th century classic Gothic Italian style, one of the few of its kind left, and many more.
