Maximize the experience of your journey to Colombia with this two-in-one combo farm tour! Interact with true coffee and cocoa farmers as you partake in activities such as picking, peeling, grinding, roasting and tasting the product of your hard work. This is an interactive experience that will have you spending time at genuine small family farms. You won't find any overcrowded tourist traps here; all farms visited are owned by authentic coffee & cacao growers. Furthermore, we guarantee fresh beans for picking throughout the year. Don't miss it out!

Disclaimer: About half the travel time consists of narrow pathways on bumpy country roads offering breathtaking mountain views. The remainder includes city traffic when entering or leaving town including sporadic road works.

What To Expect

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Silvania, Silvania, Cundinamarca Department

You will visit a traditional coffee farm for around 1.5 hours and pick up coffee beans from the field. After grinding and peeling the beans with manual, old-fashioned tools, you will get to sample a traditional "tinto", or black coffee prepared by your local host.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

Stop At: Cerro de Quinini, Tibacuy 252237 Colombia

Enjoy a vegetarian campesino (farmer) lunch served in an environment full of nature's sounds at one of the community members' home which is not a full time restaurant. The place is simple and clean without any luxury.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Nilo, Nilo, Cundinamarca Department
< br >You will spend1.5 hours visiting a traditional cacao farm where you can observe the cacao beans hanging from trees. Your host will let you taste the fruit's contents before heading to the fermentation room and drying room to see how it ends up as chocolate - if there's enough time left over you can even grind some of them into liquid form! < br >< br > Duration : 1 hour 30 minutes
