Classical town with preserved ruins - the Amphithéâtre d'Arènes, Cloisters of Saint-Trophime, the Roman Theatre and Thermes de Constantin & Musée Réattu. Arles has a pleasant Provençal ambience, leafy public squares and slow-paced lifestyle.

    Full Day Private Tour - from the river cruise pier Arles explore visit the Roman sites & Abbaye de Montmajor a fortified monastery See the iconic sights of Arles - this picturesque town steeped in history dates back to its origins as a Greek settlement. Arles became one of the most important cities of the Roman colony Gaul founded by Julius Caesar in 46 BC.This classical town has wonderfully preserved ruins, includes - the Amphithéâtre d'Arènes, Cloisters of Saint-Trophime, the Roman Theatre. Arles has a pleasant Provençal ambience, leafy public squares and slow-paced lifestyle. Our visit will include historic monuments & for art lovers we follow the Van Gogh Trail to see the scenes of the artist's famous paintings. After a light snack lunch a short drive to visit the Abbaye de Montmajor, a fortified Benedictine monastery built between the 10th & 18th centuries. Then a short drive back to the river cruise pier to rejoin the boat.
