Coffee & flowers: Coffee Experience in Bogotá, Colombia

Overview

You donate 1 tree to the Bosques Verdes Foundation, providing an invigorating experience. Our door-to-door service is limited to small groups of no more than ten people and operates daily, including holidays. You will be able to learn about the entire cycle of coffee from seed, planting, plant care and harvesting as well as seven agricultural and five other industrial processes. Additionally, you will have the chance to admire all sorts of Colombian flowers before tasting a cup of organic export type coffee sweetened with coffee liquor at the end of your tour.

What To Expect

We set out on our "Café & Flores" tour, heading from Bogotá to the municipality of Fusagasugá, where Hacienda Coloma resides. This small agro-family farm produces organic coffee with export quality and offers visitors a two and a half hour journey through their plantations. During your visit you'll learn about selecting the best seeds, planting and harvesting grains, as well as taking in some spectacular Andean views. Not to mention having the chance to sample one of the world's finest coffees at factory price! You'll also be able to follow every step of the agro-industrial process from selection through to tasting. As an added bonus this experience includes an introduction into Colombia's extraordinary orchid varieties - including its national flower Cattleya Trianae - plus bromelias and other exotic blooms.
