Overview

    Departure toward Peninsula Valdes, UNESCO World Heritage Site, a privileged wildlife sanctuary. We drive along the Isthmus Carlos Ameghino, a narrow strip of land connecting the peninsula to the continent, from where the Gulfs Nuevo and San Jose can be observed simultaneously. The -rst stop is the Visitor Centre, an introduction to the local fora and fauna. Then we drive to Caleta Valdes, a large inlet home to Southern elephant seals. We continue to the picturesque little town Puerto Piramides to do a City Tour and visit Punta Piramide, a stunning sea-lion rookery. Finally, we drive back to the pier. We may observe Patagonian cavies, guanacos and rhea along the way.
