The city of nomads is a unique building, specially built in 2004 for the filming of the cult film "Nomad" on the left bank of the Ili River in the Almaty region - located 90 km to the north from the city of Almaty.
"Nomad" is the first Kazakhstani film with a multi-million budget with the participation of stars of domestic and world cinema and was shot based on the second book of the trilogy "Nomads" by Ilyas Yesenberlin.
Storyline: biography of Abilmansur (Abylay Khan), the future khan of the entire Kazakh Khanate, during the Kazakh-Dzungarian wars in the 18th century.
The city of nomads can be seen in the films "Day Watch", "Kazakh Khanate" e, the video clip "Medina" and in many other famous works.
