Overview

Beginning at 8:00 a.m., Emo Tours' guide will pick you up from your hotel in either Cairo or Giza for the start of your Giza Full-Day Tour. Visit the Great Pyramids of Giza - Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos - as well as the Valley Temple, where priests mummified King Chephren and you can get an up close look at the Sphinx. Afterwards, proceed to Sakkara 27 km southwest of Cairo and observe the Step Pyramid built for King Zoser. Then drive to Memphis City, which served as ancient Egypt's capital with its colossal statue of Ramses II and Alabaster Sphinx on display. A return trip back to your hotel ends this tour.

This itinerary outlines a typical tour for this product. At 8:00 AM the tour Guide will be waiting for you at the lobby area with a sign bearing your name, after which they will pick you up from your hotel in either Cairo or Giza with a modern private car and begin your full day excursion to the Pyramids of Giza. You will have an expert guide with whom you can take amazing photos, as well as hear about the history of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos' pyramids. Afterward, you will visit the Valley Temple--the place where priests mummified King's dead body--and may ride a camel or horse during the trip (this is optional). Lunch will be served in a local restaurant; however, beverages are not included. Then, you'll visit Khufu's Pyramid Complex (consisting of a valley temple), Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu), Khafre's Pyramid complex (including Sphinx Temple and mortuary temple) Menkaure Pyramid Complex (valley temple and mortuary temple) and The Great Sphinx near by Valley Temple before heading to Saqqara--famous for its necropolis from Old Kingdom days--where there is an Egyptian Carpet school that produces beautiful oriental carpets. Finally, time permitting, you'll stop in Memphis--the oldest city in Egypt which dates back to 3100 BC--to view Ramses II's colossal limestone statue weighing 83 tons as well as the Alabaster Sphinx before being transferred back to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.
