Tours guide will pick up from your hotel in Luxor and commence your Luxor day tour to explore Theban necropolis on the west bank of the Nile. Wander through the Valley of the Kings, which was used as a burial place by New Kingdom Pharaohs (1550 – 1080 BC). There are 64 tombs that were discovered here; all have been cut into the mountain. The oldest belongs to Tuthmosis I (1506–1493 BC), who was Queen Hatshepsuit's father. You can visit King Tutankhamon's tomb with an additional charge payable direct.

Check out the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, constructed on three terraces that blend with the rugged cliffs of Theban mountains. Initially there was an avenue lined with sphinxes that led to the Nile and myrrh trees right in front of its entrance. Queen Hatshepsut was solely female ruler ever to govern over Egypt as a pharaoh - she is depicted in masculine form wearing a pharaoh’s kilt and beard. Also located on West Bank are two Colossi of Memnon which stand twenty metres high and are only remnants left from Amenophis III's funerary temple.
