Day trip to Giza Pyramids, Old Cairo & Citadel & Bazaar

Overview

Beginning at 8:00am, you will be picked up from your Cairo hotel by our experienced tour guide and transported to Giza City in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Your day tour begins with the opportunity to view the three Great Pyramids - Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos - as well as the Valley Temple where mummification took place and where you can get an up close look at the Sphinx. Afterwards, you will visit Old Cairo (Coptic Cairo), which is one of the most important destinations visited by The Holy Family; though their stay was brief due to a governor's wrath, later years saw the Church of Abu Serga (St Sergious) built above their sheltering cave. This area is a pilgrimage destination for both Egyptians and Christians from around the world. Here you will have an opportunity to enter The Church of Abu-Sergah and St. Barbara, Hanging Church, as well as explore Ben Ezra Synagogue.

Your tour continues with a visit to The Citadel Of Saladin where you can see Mohamed Ali Mosque or Alabaster Mosque. Finally, end your day with a trip to Khan El Khalili Bazaars where shops offer fine brassware, copper items, perfumes, leather goods, silver pieces gold wares antiques etc. At day's end we will transfer you back to your hotel.
