Delft & Rotterdam, the Old vs the New | Small Public Experience from Amsterdam

Duration

clock8 hours

Overview

Join our small public experience for maximum six travelers and a private guide from Amsterdam and visit Delft first. Delft is famous for William of Orange, ‘Father of the Nation’ and for Delft Blue Pottery. Set off on a walking tour and learn about Dutch history. And since Royal Delft is the only remaining pottery dating from the 17th century, a short live-demonstration on how it's made cannot be missed. Next is Rotterdam, an important sea port city that is (inter)nationally known as a city of innovative architecture. Embark on a 75-min harbor cruise; after all, it is the best way to see how water shapes the cityscape of Rotterdam. Be amazed by the impressive skyline and the ultramodern handling of thousands of containers.
Walk to the market hall in the city center, one of the city’s signature buildings. Pass by the old Harbor with its historical ships and walk through the 'cube forest’ of apartments. At the market hall you have some personal time for your own explorations.
