Wine Tasting on the slopes of Vesuvius from Naples with Lunch

Overview

Embark on a guided tour of the vineyards located on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius and indulge in the art of wine making. Enjoy a pleasant stroll through the fragrant scents and flavours of Campania ArsVinearia, followed by a sumptuous Mediterranean lunch accompanied by Falanghina, Lacryma Christi, Aglianico and other typical regional wines. Our tour manager will pick you up from your accommodation at a pre-arranged time between 11:00 and 11:30 am (see timetable). This 4 hour excursion is guaranteed with minimum 2 participants, kindly refer to our list of complimentary scheduled pick up points to plan your journey.

Activity Details:

The tradition of imbibing wine is rooted in antiquity within our region: artworks, pottery and ancient writings discovered at archaeological sites such as Pompeii and Herculaneum support this practice. Greeks first cultivated the vineyards on the nutrient volcanic soil and some of these early varieties still thrive today, such as Aglianico.
Though the winemaking process, therefore its flavor, has changed drastically over this long time period, it is evident that enthusiasm for this beverage remains intact. This tour will take you around the vineyards, teaching you more about the composition of its soil and how a combination of modern and traditional techniques affects the quality of wine when paired with other trees, plants and herbs. After a walk through nature's bounty to enhance your experience further there will be a delectable tasting menu made up of local dishes accompanied by wines native to the area for you to enjoy in their original environment.
