Overview

    We cross Copenhagen Harbour and then travel into Ørestad, an area built on land from Amager Common, which was released for sale by an Act of the Danish Parliament. The Whole suberb is new, with some of Denmark's best modern architecture. after telling the story of Ørestad.

    Then we enter the countryside, telling abouit the history of Kongenlund and why it was planted. We also mention notable events in the history of the army barracks, particularly during the 2nd World War.

    Coming to Dragør we talk about the history of this pretty fishing village, including its Dutch connections and encourage you to explore it. There is time here to eat, to walk Down to the sea or to visit Dragør Fort and do some shopping in the interesting Little independent shops. After this and a photo-stop to get a Picture of the Øresund Bridge, we travel along the side of Copenhagen Airport, telling you the story of its history, from sheep eating the grass on the runway, to today's successful gateway to the World.
