Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples Private Tour From Luxor with Lunch

Overview

At 7:00 am a tour guide will collect you from your accommodation in Luxor and transfer you by private air-conditioned vehicle to Edfu, which is roughly 50 minutes away. On arrival in Edfu, you will be able to explore the stunning Temple of Horus - considered by many to be the best preserved cult temple in Egypt.

You will then proceed with your day trip to Kom Ombo, about 45 minutes drive from Eduf. Here you can visit the incredible Temple of Kom Ombo.

By 16:30 pm you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor. Your knowledgeable guide will remain with you for the duration of the tour until return to Luxor.

Visitors can explore the Temple of Edfu located on the west bank of the Nile in Upper Egypt. This site was known as Koin Greek: and Latin Apollonopolis Magna during the Hellenistic period, named after Horus who was identified with Apollo under the interpretatio graeca.

Travelers can visit the double temple complex of Kom Ombo which was constructed during Ptolemaic dynasty (180–47 BC) with added features from Roman period.
