Overview

    Prison Island also known as Changuu Island is one among the islets archipelago of Zanzibar. The island was used as a quarantine station for yellow fever cases and nowadays is the homeland of giant tortoises. On this excursion, tourists can stroll through the natural forest to view various species of beautiful birds such as peacocks and small animals such as bats, and/or peacefully relax/sunbathe on a quiet place of small sandy beach or can snorkel into deeper water with beautiful marine animals and coral.
    The tourists will sail by traditional dhow to inhabited Bawe islet, where they will get an opportunity to snorkel and swim on the warm water in the Indian Ocean to view and observe beautiful tropical fish and a wonderful array of coloured coral reefs.
    The tourists will then go back on board to a very beautiful inhabited sandbank with clear white sand surrounded by turquoise water where tourists can swim, relax while waiting for the lunch of delicious seafood and refreshments.
