Ercolano Tour

Overview

Do not miss out on the chance to visit Ercolano, the favoured summer residence of wealthy Romans and the first archaeological site unearthed in the Vesuvian region in the 18th century.

It will be as if you travelled back in time; you'll wander through historical buildings of this ancient Roman settlement that was buried beneath ash from Vesuvius' cataclysmic eruption of 79 AD.

Smaller than Pompeii, Ercolano can be explored in about 90 minutes.

Located near Naples, it can be quickly reached within 15 minutes.

From Naples, you will get to Ercolano so that you can explore its ruins over a period of approximately two hours.

Furthermore, there is an option for a tour guide who will show you around and divulge all secrets of Herculaneum's history.

You'll have plenty of opportunities to take pictures during rest periods!

What To Expect

Pickup from Naples at 07:30 and arrive in Ercolano after the first stop in Pompeii at 09:00. Tour of the archaeological site for 1 hour 30 minutes starting at 09:30, then arrival to Naples at 11:00.
