Overview

    Mount Everest rises above them all! At 8850m it is the jewel of the crown in the Himalayas. It is known as Chomolungma which translates as “Lady Goddess of the Wind” by the Sherpas and Tibetans, and as Sagarmatha as “Churning stick of the Ocean” by the Nepalese. From here most of the spectacular views of the world’s highest peaks, including Mt Gyachung Kang(7952m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6812m), Mt.Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Makalu (8470) and of course Mt.Everest (8848m) herself.
