Overview

Everest base camp trek refers to two base camps trek on opposite sides of Mount Everest(It could also include any Everest base camp on a given route, but this is less common since the two main routes became standardized). The two-week trek starts and finishes at Lukla, an airstrip to the south of the region better known as the ‘Gateway to Everest’. The trek to Mt. Everest Base Camp trek continues to be one of our most rewarding journeys. You will have a day to explore the exotic city of Kathmandu before flying into the remote mountain town of Lukla (2,840m – 9,350 ft) to begin our trek into the Khumbu region of the Himalayas. The views of the Himalayan Mountains from Lukla on a clear day are breathtaking. South Base Camp is used when climbing via the southeast ridge hile North Base Camp is used when climbing via the northeast ridge.
