OLD MILITARY FORTRESS OF THE AUSTRO HUNGARIAN EMPIRE
Transformed into a concentration camp and prison by the Nazi occupiers between 1940 and 1945. Also known as the death waiting room, the Theresienstadt camp has been a fundamental part of the logistics of the deportation of thousands of Jews to Auschwitz and other Death camps.
Between its walls and its perfectly preserved moats, the visitor will learn first-hand the events that led to the extermination of thousands of human beings, victims of the Nazi machinery, as well as the perverse methods used.
