Overview

The name Aljarafe comes from the Arabic Al Jaraf and means elevation. The area from the Gerena countryside in the north to the Guadalquivir marshes in the south marks an area of greatly variable landscapes. Since time immemorial the zone has had a very productive lands, with grapes for wine, olive trees for oil and vegetables gardening. This one day circular route is a sample of the great variety of the Aljarafe where you can enjoy long green corridors, quite trails and and river banks and a great day exploring by bicycle.
