Duration

Overview

On this gentle, mindful walk on the private property of the former home, studio, and gallery of well-known painters Hiroshi Tagami and Michael Powell, you'll leave behind the stresses of the world and get in touch with the healing powers of the natural world. The gardens were designed and created by the late Mr. Tagami and feature a wide variety of exotic and beautiful plants and flowers, some specimens even created by the the artist himself. As we move through the grounds and along the paved switchback in the forested gully at the back of the property, your certified forest therapy guide will offer a series of “invitations” to help you re-connect with nature and with yourself through your senses.

Following your forest bathing walk, you'll get exclusive entry to the art gallery, featuring works in different media by local artists. Forest therapy is an evidence-based practice inspired by the Japanese "shinrin-yoku" (translates to "forest bathing"), now a global wellness movement.
