Upon arrival, your guide will be waiting with a sign bearing your name, to start the day tour by driving to the west bank of Luxor. Visit the Valley of the Kings, original burial site of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, where tombs from the New Kingdom were carved into desert rock and decorated with treasures for his afterlife. Here there is an option to explore King Tut's tomb. Next visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut; this unique mortuary temple was built in terrace formation at a cliff face. Hear stories about this famous female pharaoh who reigned as one of Egypt’s most successful rulers wearing male attire in order to claim her throne. Stop for photos at Colossi of Memnon (two 17-meter statues representing Amenophis III) before stopping for lunch at a good quality restaurant (drinks not included). Finally head off to Luxor Temple which had been constructed by King Amonhotep III from 18th dynasty and completed by great King Ramesses II during 19th dynasty; marvel at obelisk and well preserved statues before transferring back to Luxor Airport around 9 pm, subject to flight schedule, then drive back to your hotel in Cairo upon arrival.
