Overview
In the morning, you will be collected from your Izmir hotel and be driven to Ephesus. Once there, we will explore the city which was once the second largest in the Roman Empire, boasting a population of over 250,000 people in 1st BC. It was renowned for being a harbour city built entirely of marble. We will also visit the iconic House of Virgin Mary where it is believed that Mary, mother of Jesus spent her last years; as well as exploring Temple of Artemis or Artemision - one of the seven wonders of the world - and Isabey Mosque constructed in 1374-1375 and one of Anatolian Beyliks' oldest works. At the end we will transport you back to your hotel.
