The scenic drive along the west coast leads to the beautiful South West corner. Pass Le Morne, La Prairie and stop at the stunning viewpoint at Maconde.
At Baie du Cap, we drive through the hills of Chamarel to the 90m high Chamarel Waterfalls and the Seven-Coloured Earth. At La Rhumerie de Chamarel taste some of the best rums in the world (tasting included). After lunch continue uphill to the viewpoint over the Black River Gorges, home to most of the island’s endemic flora and fauna. Continue to the sacred lake of Grand Bassin (Ganga Talao) and the Trou aux Cerfs volcanic crater with a 360o view over the island. Admire stunning models of historical sailing ships at ‘Voiliers de l’Ocean’ before returning to your hotel.
